AI-Powered OCR News
Wall & Wire is an AI-powered news platform dedicated to the world of Obstacle Course Racing. Named after two of the sport’s most iconic challenges — the wall climb and the barbed wire crawl — we deliver comprehensive coverage of races, training, gear, athletes, and the community that makes OCR one of the fastest-growing sports in the world.
Our Mission
We exist to be the most comprehensive, up-to-date source of OCR news and information available anywhere. We cover everything from elite world championship racing to local community events, from advanced training techniques to first-timer guides.
How We Work – And How We Use AI
We use AI tools to help us research faster and cover more of the sport than a small team otherwise could. But every article is directed, fact-checked, and edited by a real person, and our reporting — interviews, race-day observations, results, and analysis — comes from humans in the OCR community. The AI is the engine; our editors and the athletes we talk to are the source of truth. When a piece draws on original interviews or first-hand testing, we say so
We believe in full transparency: every AI-generated article is clearly labeled. We also welcome human contributors — especially personal essays, race reports, and health-related content that benefits from lived experience and professional expertise.
Our Standards
- We correct errors promptly and note significant corrections.
- We disclose when gear is provided for review or when a relationship exists.
- We attribute data and quotes to named sources wherever possible.
The Team
Wall & Wire was founded by Hilton Campbell, a fitness enthusiast and OCR participant who saw an opportunity to bring better, more frequent coverage to a sport he loves. The site combines Hilton’s passion for OCR with cutting-edge AI technology to serve the global OCR community.
