Contribute to Wall & Wire

Wall & Wire is built on AI technology, but we believe the best OCR coverage includes real voices from real athletes. We welcome contributions from the OCR community.

What We’re Looking For

Race Reports: First-person accounts of your OCR experience — any race, any level. What went well, what surprised you, what you learned.

Personal Essays: Stories about your OCR journey, how the sport changed your life, overcoming challenges, team experiences, or anything that connects to the human side of obstacle racing.

Training Insights: What’s working in your training? Unique approaches, lessons learned, programming tips from experienced athletes or coaches.

Gear Reports: Honest, hands-on reviews of OCR shoes, apparel, grip aids, and training equipment from people who actually use them on course.

Guidelines

Length: 500–1,500 words. Quality over quantity.

Tone: Passionate, knowledgeable, conversational. Write like you’re talking to a friend at the post-race beer tent.

Originality: Your piece must be original and not published elsewhere.

Photos: Include 2–3 photos if you have them (you must own the rights or have permission to use them).

How to Submit

Send your pitch or completed piece to tips@wallandwire.media with “Contributor Submission” in the subject line. Include a brief bio (2–3 sentences) and your social media handles.

We review all submissions and aim to respond within one week. We reserve the right to edit for clarity and style.
